Safety is our Concern

With the growing range of game titles on the market today, we all have to be careful giving our children access to undesirable games. At Teknidome we base our regulation of gaming access on the policies set by the Entertainment Software Rating Board, ESRB. Moreover, Teknidome is a registered member of the ESRB retail partnership program.

Gaming Centres with less than 60 units are restricted to players over the age of 16. Centres with 60 or more systems have designated areas for teens (E, E10+, T rated) and adults (MA and AO). There are seven levels of software rating:

ESRB EC Rating
EC Rating: Early Childhood

Titles suitable for toddlers and children aged 3 and older, and contains no material that parents would find inappropriate (No games of this rating available at Teknidome).

ESRB E Rating
E Rating: Everyone

. Titles in this category are suitable for ages 6 and older and may contain minimal cartoon, fantasy or mild violence and/or infrequent use of mild language.

ESRB E10+ Rating
E10+ Rating: Everyone 10 or Older

Titles in this category are limited to players 10 years of age or older, and may contain more cartoon, fantasy or mild violence, mild language and/or minimal suggestive themes.

ESRB T Rating
T Rating: Teens

Software . Titles in this category are limited to those aged 13 or older and may contain violence, suggestive themes, crude humor, minimal blood, simulated gambling, and/or infrequent use of strong language.

ESRB M Rating
M Rating: Mature

Titles in this category are rated for use by people aged 17 or older only, and may contain intense violence, blood and gore, sexual content and/or strong language.

ESRB AO Rating
AO Rating: Adults Only

Titles in this category are limited for adults only (18+), and may include prolonged scenes of intense violence and/or graphic sexual content and nudity (No games of this rating available at Teknidome).

ESRB RP Rating
RP Rating: Rating Pending

Software not yet rated by the ESRB (No games of this rating available at Teknidome).
